Ciao, Genoa! What a quaint little city! Well, it's not so small with a population over half a million. I loved this city! Since it's situated along the coast, the harbor is a wonderful place to take a stroll. Italy is so great and Genoa is wonderful. Here are my top 5 things I did in Genoa. 1) Christopher Columbus’ house There isn’t much there left but the outside structure. Nevertheless, it’s a super neat moment in history, although I'm not a big fan of his... 2) This Fountain We stumbled across this fountain when we were exploring the city. It’s super pretty and a lot of people were taking pictures of it. Oh and it’s purple because it stood as an anti-homophobic symbol for the city. 3) Walking around in general This is a no-brainer but I stress, you can just feel the history in this city. Everything is so old yet modern at the same time. So many little gems around each corner. 4) Staying in This may come as a shock to people. Why would I stay in when I could be out and about?! At the hostel where we stayed, we met a super cool group of guys. We made dinner and hung out. I don’t regret it one bit. 5) Food
Italian food, ‘nuff said.
